Quality, reliability and safety are of paramount importance in the railway industry, and to any organisation involved in the design, specification and manufacture of components for the rail transport system. Frontier Springs Ltd. meets those demands professionally, on the strength of decades of experience in the field.
Established in 1981, Frontier Springs Ltd. started with the production of leaf springs and laminated bearing springs for automobiles and railways. Steadily, as the railways modernised, so did we — and within a few years we had expanded our plant to accommodate the high demand for coil springs for wagons, coaches and locomotives for the Indian Railways and many more clients.
Preferred Manufacturer for Indian Railways
Although our experienced team can design springs using design software from the Institute of Spring Technology, Sheffield, to the specifications given by the client, we have been a preferred manufacturer for the following springs with the Indian Railways:
- Springs for LHB Coaches
- Suspension Coil Springs for Freight Stock
- Suspension Coil Springs for Coaching Stock
- Suspension Coil Springs for Diesel and Electrical Locomotives (EMD, WAG 9, WAG 7, etc.)
- CLH and VLH Coil Springs for Power Sector (BHEL)
Technology and Manufacturing
We adopt updated technology throughout our manufacturing processes, which is why Frontier Springs Ltd. is always moving forward and has grown systematically over the years. Our fully equipped laboratory is one such example of our willingness to adopt every latest technique that science has to offer in our industry.
The main aim of Frontier Springs Ltd. is to manufacture springs of the best quality and to international standards at low cost. To achieve this, various processes are undertaken at each and every stage of manufacturing, involving different kinds of testing techniques in which our state-of-the-art laboratory is put to use.
Approvals and Certifications
For around 30 years Frontier Springs Ltd. has been registered with the RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organization) for the supply of springs and other components to Indian Railways, and the unit has developed a large number of products to the latest RDSO specifications.
Our springs were also used on the fastest train in India — the Vande Bharat Express.
We are certified to the International Railway Industry Standard (IRIS), which enables us to export our products directly to other countries.
Our Clients
Our most valuable clients include Indian Railways, Siemens, BHEL, Gerb Vibration Control Systems and many other wagon builders and heavy engineering industries.
Looking Ahead
Our dedication to our clients, and ultimately to the end users, is unparalleled. Our aim is to deliver products swiftly, efficiently and safely to every client. In future we plan further expansion and the development of more forging components for railways, heavy engineering industries, defence and other sectors.
